The Role:

As an Associate DevOps Engineer within the CLM AM Site Reliability Engineering Team you take over accountability for excellent execution of SAP’s Cloud strategy. You will be responsible to ensure continuous deployment and drive measures to ensure reliable availability of all our cloud management services for SAP’s Cloud products.

At CLM Application Management, our mission is to develop the world’s leading cloud-based solution to operate the SAP cloud providing a set of cloud native microservices utilizing the latest technologies. To further strengthen our Site Reliability Engineering team to accommodate SAP’s growth in the cloud, we are looking for an Associate DevOps Engineer to join our Team.

What you`ll do:

In your role as Associate DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with international colleagues on development projects with the following activities:

• Be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of our Cloud Management environment and ensure availability according to defined Service Level Agreements
• Design, implement and conduct service and application monitoring for our service offerings
• Run and enhance the continuous software deployment process of our Cloud Management platform
• Identify limitations and improve our services in collaboration with our development teams
• Create high quality documentation for our SAP internal customers and our own team

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field
• Strong analytical, problem solving skills combined with the ability to work on complex topics and drive its realization in an efficient way. Strong customer focus to seek customer satisfaction.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate appropriately with customers in difficult situations.
• Fluent in German and English (verbal/written) is necessary
• Experience in cloud business with the focus to drive automation and standardization
• Expertise in Linux and developing in an object-oriented language
• Knowledge of IaaS Infrastructures and experience of setting up, working in, and managing virtualized landscapes
• Expertise in SAP’s Lifecycle Management tools as well as SAP’s operations and support processes is a plus
• Knowledge of ITIL is beneficial
