What you’ll do
SAP Globalization Development Team is looking for a hands-on Development Architect with a passion for growth in the increasingly important cloud field of SAP SuccessFactors Payroll and its localized solutions.
- Work on some of the latest technologies such as microservice development architecture and Business AI
- Leverage AI to optimize and enhance our processes
- Translate business and product requirements of our localized SAP SuccessFactors Payroll solution into technical requirements, models, and software architecture.
- Responsibility for the aligned and consistent architecture of a product, part of a product, or a specific architecture subject.
- Working with a cross-functional team, located in Germany, India and China, you will define the product architecture and ensure alignment of architecture concepts and documentation
- Ensure architectural integrity of solutions. Lead or participate in research and Proof of Concept activities.
- Write clean and maintainable code using best engineering practices (unit testing, automation, source control, design patterns etc.).
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 10+ years professional experience in Software Development.
- Minimum of 5 years professional work experience in an architect role in engineering and software architecture design, building and distributing software tools, and solutions in an agile environment.
- Strong programming and analytical skills, experience in HCM SuccessFactors and Payroll / TimeManagement solution
- Have in-depth understanding of coding languages and proficiency in at least one modern programming language (C++, Python, Java) in a cross-platform environment with multiple operating system targets and databases.
- Proficient in Java (Client-side, Server-side, Security APIs, Web development, Spring/MVC/Spring Boot) or JavaScript and Node.js as well as other software technologies including Rest/JSON, SOAP/XML, Oracle, Postgres, Single Sign-On (SSO), HTML5, Performance Tuning/Profiling, Testing frameworks.
- Experience in development of complex software solutions based on ABAP / JAVA technology.
- Fluency both written and spoken in English and German
