About the team

Payroll is a key part of SAP’s cloud and ERP offerings. SAP software pays more than 80 million people around the world. We are the leading provider of payroll software, and we want to stay that way as the payroll market is transitioning from on-premise to the cloud.

Come and take part in this exciting journey! Make the payroll future happen in the Cloud! Join the SAP SuccessFactors Payroll team and take the chance to define SAP’s payroll future in its early phase, right from the beginning. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to design and define an enterprise level product from the scratch, SAP’s cloud native Payroll. Needless to say, this brings with it fantastic possibilities to learn and grow along with the product itself.

We can offer a challenging and multi-sided range of tasks touching a plethora of technologies: cloud-native technologies, micro-services architecture, Java, HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, SAPUI5, OData, and many more.

St. Leon-Rot is the largest development location for SAP SuccessFactors Payroll. We also offer the opportunity to work in a truly international environment with development teams spread globally, for example, in India.

The Role

As an agile associate developer:

  • You have a “can-do” attitude and see possibilities where others see challenges
  • You work in an agile development team located in Germany
  • You take over responsibility for the entire lifecycle of applications and services for the core payroll cloud product, for design, testing, implementation, maintenance, operations and support

Role Requirements

  • Good Java development skills
  • Good Python development skills
  • Excellent German and English language skills – written and oral
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong social skills and team player – consensus building and openness to new ideas and intercultural co-operation
  • Passion for agile software engineering
  • Highly quality, service and customer oriented working attitude

Your extensive onboarding phase will be accompanied by a buddy. In this phase you will gain additional technical skills and get the business knowledge. Additionally, within the empowered team you have lots of opportunities to take over responsibilities and to drive the team's topics.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
