The Role: 
As an (Senior) Data Engineer (f/m/d) for the Network Automation Team, your role will be to gather, maintain and enhance environmental data structures that provide the backbone of network infrastructure automation.  You will be responsible for the Network Intended State Database, a key ‘Source of Truth’ leveraged by our Infrastructure-as-Code platform, including data quality and daily operational and lifecycle management duties.
Your responsibilities will also entail the performance, integrity and security of the Network Intended State Database. You'll be involved in the planning and development of enhancements, as well as in resolving any issues on behalf of the users.  Data consistency, access, security and recovery control are all critical concerns for this role.


Required Proficiency: 

  • Strong proficiency in relational database management systems and modern data stores
  • Experience in agile and test-driven development practices and technologies (CI/CD, Git, JIRA)
  • Willingness to participate in off-hours support as necessary related to core job activities

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Netbox (https://netbox.readthedocs.io/en/stable/), open source data structures and Kubernetes 
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering or comparable qualification.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to write clear technical documentation
