What you’ll do:

Summary:
We are looking for a passionate senior developer/ development expert (f/m/d) for Localization as a Self-Service at SAP Globalization, who will work on the technical implementation for Localization as a Self-Service across all relevant localization domains and technical stacks for S/4HANA Cloud, including leveraging Generative AI to provide next-level Localization as a Self-Service experience for SAP customers and partners. This work lays strategic foundation for SAP to allow partners and customers to use suitable extensibility options to complement SAP localized solution portfolio and scale adoption across the globe.  

The Role:
As senior developer/ development expert (f/m/d) for Localization as a Self-Service you will be responsible for technical and architecture topics in the context of Localization as a Self-Service for all relevant localization domains (including taxes, invoicing, payments, reporting, etc.), and explore the innovative approach of leveraging Generative AI for Localization as a Self-Service. 
You will work on architecture design and alignment with all stakeholders and ensure the proper architecture rollout and execution of extensibility requirements in relevant engineering teams, working closely together with responsible engineering leads and peer experts. You will also work closely with partners and occasionally host partner workshops, to provide architecture guidance and support partners in the end-to-end implementation cycle in exploring extensibility options to extend SAP standard solutions. It is expected that the role involves continuous learning keeping oneself updated on latest enhancements in S/4HANA Cloud extensibility and be the multiplier of that knowledge within Globalization.


What you bring:
 

• Bachelor or master degree in computer science, natural science, engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in all aspects of software development and maintenance with expert level development skills (ABAP OO, CDS views, OData, RAP, SAP UI5/HTML5) and experience in performance, scalability, and extensibility
• Architectural knowledge and hands-on technical competence in S/4HANA extensibility options including key user extensibility, developer extensibility and side-by-side extensibility, as well as other generic extensibility features such as APIs, custom fields, custom logic, configuration, UI, and CDS Views
• Good understanding of S/4HANA business processes typically relevant for localization and extensions
• Proven architectural leadership and stakeholder management skills, very good communication skills, service-oriented mindset
