ABOUT US
The Language Experience Engineering (LXE) Language Technology (LT) Team supports and operates various language technology components essential for the SAP translation infrastructure. The focus is on provisioning a first-class user experience for more than 3000 users with regards to translation tool support and connectivity in a secure working environment. 
We are an innovative interdisciplinary team of highly motivated technology specialist and system engineers that work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a new colleague (f/m/d) to further boost the technological competencies in our team. 

YOUR FUTURE ROLE
Do you have a passion for supporting a complex system infrastructure, and driving the change of a whole business unit from an on-premise to a cloud infrastructure? 
As a Support (Systems) Engineer (f/m/d) in LX Language Technology you will administer and support SAP-owned and third-party language technology tools and the corresponding infrastructure. You provide content providers, language technology tool users, SAP partners, and customers with language-technology related process designs, consulting, technical solutions and support services. 
You provide primary and secondary technological support and consulting for language technology tools, systems, and the overall landscape. Your primary focus will be to ensure continuous connectivity, security, availability and general support of language-related tools and infrastructure.
Besides your operational tasks, you will be expected to continuously monitor relevant technology developments to identify new trends, tools, and innovations that might influence or impact new and existing functionality. This includes your motivation to drive the change from an on-premise infrastructure to a cloud-based environment.


YOUR PROFILE
•    University degree in computer science or another related field
•    Advanced knowledge of computer networks, Windows Server administration, IT security and network security principles
•    Proven skills in scripting languages (such as Powershell, Python) 
•    Knowledge about cloud computing, operations and security for AWS, Azure or GCP
•    Strong project management skills and ability to communicate effectively across the organization (translators, developers, users, etc.)
•    Interest in language technology tools and processes
•    2+ years of related professional experience 
•    Very good written and oral communication skills in English are required. German language skills in addition would be a plus

•    Collaborative mindset and excellent self-organization with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize when being confronted with multiple tasks at the same time.
