You will join our Development Team based in St. Ingbert, at the heart of SAP's key strategic project, Business Data Cloud (BDC). Position title: SAP BDC&I Foundation Services iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Java Developer for Microservice Application

In this role, you’ll:
As an Intern joining our Development Team at BDC&U Foundation Services, you will gain hands-on experience in software development and testing. You will contribute to ensure the robustness and responsiveness of our applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to delve into various aspects of software development, testing, and operational enhancements.
Working in our team will help you to gather or expand skills by supporting our team with tasks like:
- Working on enhancements related to monitoring and handling exceptions to maintain high standards of reliability and stability.
- Developing and writing automated tests to drive the quality assurance processes.
- Creating and managing dashboards for real-time observability of application states.
- Conducting manual and performance testing to ensure applications meet required standards before deployment.
Who you are:
You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
You bring:
- Practical knowledge of Java development and enthusiasm for learning new programming skills.
- A keen interest in cloud technologies, specifically Kubernetes, and first experience with development tools such as GitHub.
- Language skills: fluent in English, and fluent in German
- Soft skills: team player

Note for Germany: currently the SAP Internship Experience Program is only open to interns and being hired into other contract types such as working students will preclude the candidate's participation in the program.
