The Regulated Industries Market Unit is comprised of Aerospace & Defense, Federal, Utilities, State & Local, Education and Healthare market segments.  We are a diverse group who values performance but focuses on the appropriate work life balance.

 

What you’ll do:

 

Position Title: SAP Ariba iXp Intern - Service Sales Support

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Expected Start Date: November 2021

Contract Duration: 6 to 9 months

 

In this role, you’ll:

 

SAP is seeking a college intern who can assist the Regulated Industries market unit conduct research and analysis related to Customer Segmentation, Market Segmentation and Market Sizing.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

 

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in Excel with the ability to manage and work between large and diverse "data sets" and create “lists” that can be actioned upon.
    • PowerPoint: The ability to create and deliver simple (internally focused) PowerPoint presentations regarding the research you've conducted.
  • Analytics & Visualization
    • The ability to leverage the capabilities of Excel and/or potentially other systems for deeper levels of analysis and the ability to visually represent large data sets is highly desirable.
  • Virtual Collaboration Tools & Mediums
    • Ability to work and collaborate virtually via MS Teams, Zoom and/or Skype

 

Professional / Academic Skills & Experiences

  • Active pursuit of Bachelor level degree
  • Possess the notions and/or experience about how to perform various activities related to Customer Segmentation, Market segmentation, Market Sizing is highly desirable

  • Someone with a Consultative / Problem Solving Mindset:
    • An active listener with the confidence and ability to ask deeper level questions and team with SAP employees so that accurate "Problem Statements" can be identified, defined and solved.
    • Someone that is able to envision what might be perceived as broad/nebulous "ask" and break this down into actionable steps
  • Analytical:
    • The ability to properly aggregate large data sets, that you can analyze and then provide go-to-market recommendations
  • Initiative / Self-Starter:
    • Since the work will be highly independent and coincide with your normal studies, you will need to forecast and communicate your availability, and attend weekly check-ins regarding the projects and tasks that you will be able to undertake.
  • Confidentiality, Discretion & Integrity:
    • The nature of the information you will work with is considered highly confidential. NDA signatures and/or background checks will be a condition to hiring and you should be will ready to accept all necessary terms and conditions in order to access SAP Data, Resources, etc.
  • Professionalism & Communication
    • Part of your work will entail internal meetings and/or interviews with SAP Employees. Your ability to present yourself confidently and professionally will be important. Potential activities include -- developing a call plan, and managing or leading internal interviews (or web meetings).
