The HR Total Rewards (TR) Manager drives, executes and manages efforts and activities involved in the development, implementation, administration and/or continuous improvement of innovative and tailored total reward solutions for the 1,400 employees in Japan.


You will work in close collaboration with Global Total Rewards team, other members of the APJ Total Rewards team and the HR organization.  You will lead all efforts required for the design, implementation and/or continuous improvement of Total Reward solutions that drive employee engagement, optimize the total reward programs and support the achievement of strategic objectives and sustainable business results.


This role touches the full remit of total rewards including base salary, bonus programs, benefits, equity, recognition and wellbeing including:


Basic salary benchmarking, reviews and consultation

Bonus programs for both sales and support workforce

Country specific benefits, pension and wellbeing programs

Local support for global recognition and equity programs

Employee communication

Mergers and Acquisition support


The ideal candidate will have experience in at least some areas of total reward programs and a desire to develop their knowledge and understanding of all areas.




Assists in the creation, delivery and adoption of sometimes complex and innovative Total Reward products and solutions in line with strategic objectives, financial budgets, legislative, regulatory and business requirements as requested by the Board, Senior HR Leadership and the business.

Assesses best practices and creates workforce-specific Total Reward solution based on business requirements and in close collaboration with representatives from the business and - where applicable and required - the HR Business Partner (HRBP) community.

Works in close collaboration with the HR community on delivering end-to-end Total Reward solutions, products and services to the business.

Works in close collaboration with other TR & HR teams on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end Total Rewards processes, practices and procedures within their area of responsibility.

May also be required to support other APJ team members in the successful design and delivery of strategic regional or board area specific projects




Bachelor / University / Master Degree in Business Administration or comparable experience

Professional experience (+5 years)

Strong functional skills, communication skills

Fluent in Japanese and English
