The Business Technology Platform (BTP) is the backbone of SAP’s strategy with AI first and Suite first. Furthermore it is the foundation for our latest innovation, the Business Data Cloud (BDC).

With the importance of the BTP for SAP, it is crucial that our customers and partners understand the role of BTP and we are driving the adoption and consumption of SAP’s latest innovations. Therefore we are strengthening the footprint for the BTP in SAP Japan by creating a BTP Solution Area in Services – ASC. In SAP Japan we will build a new team from the ground up to be able to offer the full BTP services portfolio to our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity and something which does not happen too often in SAP, and this is to be part of a brand new organization with the potential to shape the future of what we are doing.

The BTP Solution Area Japan will be deeply embedded into the local SAP Japan organization to ensure we are able to respond to local market requirements. At the same time, the team is part of the global BTP Solution area with the potential to leverage global expertise, state of the art assets and latest tools and automation. The team will cover innovative topics such as HANA Cloud, Cloud Integration Suite, SAP Build and AI. We want to develop the team to become front runners and thought leaders in these topics and the preferred contact for our SAP Japan colleagues, customers and partners.

What you’ll do:

You will advise and develop a comprehensive BTP architecture for our customers aligning with their goals. Enable and work with partners on BTP transformation and innovation programs (including AI). Furthermore, you will drive value realization and solution adoption and lead activities such as:

• Guide and advise customers in regard to the latest SAP technology and innovation with our SAP BTP
• Steer and guide customers and partners in key BTP projects to become an AI driven enterprise
• Identify and scale SAP innovations together with our customers and partners leveraging the BTP
• Explain the importance of BTP in the context of SAP’s strategy to our customers, partners and internally. Become a thought leader for topics like Suite transformation, Clean Core and AI.
• Drive adoption and consumption of BTP solution areas in collaboration with SAP’s local sales and pre-sales. Support all SAP’s customer facing roles to successfully drive our platform business
• Innovate new business models with the focus on Japanese customers and develop use cases on the BTP
• Collaborate with the global SAP BTP solution area to adopt the latest strategy and innovation locally
• Become part of the team’s leadership and develop strategy and guidance for the future of the team
• Train and coach new members of the team and create the future of the Japan BTP business

What you bring:

• Completed studies (ideally in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration or related fields of study with a technical focus)
• 5+ years in customer experience roles (e.g., Program Manager, Architect), with experience in end-to-end architectural design for hybrid solution landscapes.
• Extensive knowledge of SAP Enterprise Architecture Framework and Toolset, and experience with BTP components and services such as application development, automation, data and analytics, integration, and AI capabilities.
• Proficiency in end to end process of how to develop innovative use cases and new platform business models until bringing it into production with customers.
• Excellent communication skills collaborating with customers and SAP internal Sales and pre-sales to support adoption and consumption of SAP solutions
• International mind set
