Senior Specialist, Centre of Excellence, SAP Intelligent Spend & Business Network, Japan

SAP Intelligent Spend Management & Business Network represents SAP’s solution portfolio of SAP S/4HANA Procurement, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, and the SAP Business Network, providing end-to-end source-to-pay solutions across all categories of spend. This combines industry-leading business applications with the world's largest digital trading community, the SAP Business Network.



The Senior Specialist, Intelligent Spend & Business Network COE is critical to SAP’s success and helps drive SAP’s business growth by translating deep solution & industry expertise into highly effective business & market development activities. This includes defining & executing scalable go-to-market strategies as well as providing solution specific line of business expertise during customer engagements. This role is based in and supports the Japan and South Korea market.


Area 1

Defines & executes go-to-market strategies in collaboration with sales, marketing and partners with focus on scalable business development execution to achieve sustainable growth.

Area 2

Supports Market Units and LoB sales leaders to operationalize Market Unit strategies and supports individual QCs to build & progress healthy pipeline coverage with particular focus on innovation and new offerings.

Area 3

Supports opportunity maturation and deal execution with deep expertise, leading high impact, outcome focused & experience obsessed customer-facing engagements (one-to-one and one-to-many), acting as a trusted advisor to the customer.

Area 4

Scales beyond CoE capacity by creating & multiplying through thought-leadership and enablement into the wider SAP organization.



  • 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Deep competency in the domain areas of Digital Transformation, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Advanced S/4HANA and SAP Ariba product experience required, knowledge of SAP Fieldglass and SAP Concur an asset
  • Prior experience with software/IT organizations and with a demonstrated proficiency in areas such as Solution Management, Presales or Consulting
  • Track record of customer CXO conversation around industry context, strategic and financial impact of transformation
  • Strong internal & external stakeholder management, networking & influencing
  • Working knowledge of cloud, Hosted Services, and SaaS/ PaaS models, cloud -based commerce/ business networks
  • Leveraging a professional network on behalf of SAP resulting in pipeline and revenue growth
  • Proven track record of success in the selected industry area



  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required,
  • MBA or equivalent degree from accredited university preferred
  • Fluency in Japanese
