Field Technical Consultant

Responsibilities:

The field technical consultant will be primarily responsible for providing guidance and support for enabling all the master and transaction interfaces to support business processes outlined in in the business requirement document. The Integration consultant will work closely with customer side ERP and middleware resources and enable the master and transaction data interfaces. They will conduct technical workshop and impart the knowledge to customer resources to help them understand and configure the SAP Ariba applications and associated integrations. They will be responsible for the technical configuration and customization in the solution, and for enabling configurations on the Ariba solution side to enable the interfaces.  The technical consultant will provide technical guidance on master and transaction integration to support processes as outlined in the business requirement document.   They will work closely with customer resources for discovery, testing connectivity, unit testing and providing necessary support during system integration testing and cutover phase.

• Consult customers on ecommerce applications and integration options and recommended processes
• Advise customers on creative and flexible solutions to speed applications and integration and ultimately transactions to drive their business
• Engage with project team independently with minimal manager/leadership over site
• Lead and facilitate customer technical sessions to identify and document customer requirements
• Lead regular scheduled conference calls to ensure project status is tracking as planned
• Coordinate and manage testing process with customer from engagement to deployment
• Assist in resolving issues related to transmission of electronic documents via the Ariba Network and Ariba On Demand solutions
• Issue / Status Tracking– Provides weekly updates and escalates critical issues to Team and Project management in a timely manner
• Ability to travel within one’s region up to 80%. 

Required Skills:

• Basic understanding of Procure to Pay processes with understandings of B2B and EDI solutions.
• SAP technical Debugging skills (ABAP, Job setup, Log’s and XML monitoring) and working knowledge on SAP MM / PM modules.
• Minimum 5 years of consulting experience. 2+ years in SAP Ariba and/or 5+ years in SAP ECC or S/4 HANA tech
• Bachelor’s degree in business/computer sciences or Master’s degree in any science, or equivalent work experience.
• Specific experience with SAP Integration solutions (CIG, BTP, NetWeaver, PI/PO, HCI I-Docs, SOA Manager Etc.) is preferred.
• Business Level English and Japanese language skills, written and verbal.
