Job Description
Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished Principal Technology Services Expert who is well versed in delivering consistent, high-quality results to join our SAP Sovereign Cloud Delivery and Operations team. You will contribute to SAP's global strategy by supporting our Sovereign Cloud customers with their SAP S/4HANA adoption on their path to the Intelligent Enterprise as part of the SAP Canadian Sovereign Cloud Services team. The professional will work across the Service Delivery Lifecycle to analyze, design, build, test, implement and/or maintain multiple system components or applications. The individual must have strong technical knowledge of SAP systems and databases. Additional responsibilities include managing periodic maintenance activities, refreshes, patching, and upgrades.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE:
You will be responsible for the technical and architectural support of our Canadian Sovereign Cloud environments. You must:
- Act as an SAP solution architect accountable for the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA capabilities
- Strong knowledge of multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies (Global focus desired), in the areas of build and support for ECC, CRM, PI, EP, BW/4HANA, and HANA.
- Design, implement, monitor, and optimize SAP landscapes / workloads and dependent technologies (FRUN, LAMA, Solution Manager, etc.)
- Offer comprehensive knowledge on SAP S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools.
- Understand the SAP high availability or disaster recovery (DR) architecture, network and virtual technologies (load-balancer, virtual machine).
- Manage and performs system refreshes; participates in the scheduling of refreshes as requested.
- Ability to Own, Lead and Coordinate operational tasks, escalations, process improvements.
- Supports the operation of technical system landscapes
- Deliver high quality and ensure stable operations
- Identify top issues, define action plans and drive the resolution process
- Solid know-how on various SAP Technologies; SAP products and Hyperscalers
- Pro-active, problem solving, "can-do" attitude and “customer first” mindset
- Capacity planning and management- Must be able to provide rotating on call support and after-hours support for system maintenance
What you will bring
- Minimum 10+ years of SAP Technical Administration (preferably in the domain of SAP Basis skills)
Strong background in SAP Solutions, SAP technology and products and cloud technology - Ability to coordinate delivery and projects as a team lead in a heterogeneous environment
- Good knowledge on S/4HANA architecture and S/4HANA related migration paths and tools
- Experience in technical architecture/implementation/change management
- Deep experience in technical planning, implementation, and configuration
- Expert across multiple SAP and non-SAP technologies.
- Capability to continuously acquire new knowledge and latest technologies in an independent, proactive way
- Deep understanding of SAP best practices on backup and recovery strategies
- Implementation, upgrade and support of the latest SAP systems versions, running on Windows/Linux OS and HANA/Sybase/Oracle/SQL Server
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English
- Understanding of automation tools like Ansible and Terraform
- Provide leadership for troubleshooting and system performance initiatives

- Good knowledge of AWS/Azure and GCP
- Knowledge of security aspects of hardened internet appliances and cloud networking
