EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

In the role of Senior Basis Consultant, you will possess and can demonstrate the following skills:

  • Deliver projects as Technical Lead for customers, including support during requirement gathering phase, analysis of system landscape, technical design, and development of interface
  • Ability to assist team members in the development and implementation of technical solutions (Implementations, Upgrades and Migrations) and support with ongoing projects
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of SAP technologies and methodologies
  • Must have previous experience working in upgrades, OS/DB migrations and HANA migration projects (experience in Implementation and blueprinting is a big plus)
  • Providing BASIS support for projects involving HANA and S/4HANA
  • Provide architectural guidance on cloud migration (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Design end-to-end security for SAP on premise and SAP Cloud based applications including two factor authentications and single sign-on from anywhere on any device
  • Ability to troubleshoot/analyze and resolve technical problems
  • Must be open to travel
  • Own / Acquire relevant SAP Business AI skills to position / deliver SAP’s AI offerings to our customers
  • Enhance adoption/ consumption of various SAP AI offerings in customer use cases

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Hands-on experience in executing large End-to-End Implementations and/or large Cloud Migrations of SAP Applications, HANA Database Migration, Upgrades, OS/DB Migrations, S/4HANA Conversion Projects etc.
  • Technically fluent in
    • Operating System (Unix/Windows/Linux), Database Oracle/DB2/SQL Server/ MaxDB ) administration
    • SAP HANA In-Memory Platform
    • SAP HANA Data provisioning technology including SAP LT, Data Services, DXC, Sybase replication server
    • SAP HANA scale-out and standalone deployment, administration and optimization experience and knowledge
    • Fiori Platform
    • Experience in Technical setup of BTP services
    • Cloud Migrations (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Hands-on experience in executing large End-to-End Implementations and/or large Cloud Migrations of SAP Applications, HANA Database Migration, Upgrades, OS/DB Migrations, S/4HANA Conversion Projects etc.
  • Experience in Designing SAP System Landscape, Defining Implementation or Migration Strategies & Detailed Planning is big plus

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in: Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or similar degree.
  • 12+ years previous experience working across a range of implementations, upgrade and migration projects
  • SAP Certifications (NetWeaver, HANA, OSDB – or a combination of these)
  • AWS/Azure/Google Cloud : Solution or Architect certifications

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 96,100-213,000 CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
