What you`ll do
SAP Business Technology Platform ABAP is the core of SAP’s technical foundation which is used by the world’s largest organizations to run their business-critical applications. We provide programming languages, rich programming models and tools for ABAP developers to build innovative cloud applications and scalable enterprise solutions end-to-end.
Our integration team ensures that our newest ABAP innovations and programming models work together seamlessly to provide a cohesive and reliable solution for our users. We aim for the best user experience and customer satisfaction.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and quality-conscious developer to join our Integration and Enablement team. Our team is essential for ensuring our software is validated end-to-end to assure highest quality and exceptional developer experience. You will gain expert knowledge about our programming models and AI features and collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless software integration.

 

Your responsibilities: 

  • Conduct thorough end-to-end validations of our programming models and AI features to safeguard functional correctness, performance, and reliability.
  • Take a customer’s perspective and give feedback to our development teams to improve our programming models.  
  • Create sample applications to help internal users and customers to consume our features in an efficient manner.
  • Provide consulting and support to internal teams and customers regarding the implementation, usage, and troubleshooting of our features.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing and deployment processes, incorporating best practices and new methodologies.
  • Support internal and external events and roll-out activities.

What you bring 

  • Team first attitude - we win together as a team.
  • A good to excellent bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. 
  • Understanding of agile software development and testing principles. 
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language like ABAP or Java.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, as well as an eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and testing practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You can understand complex programming paradigms and concepts and present them clearly.
  • Fluency in both German and English is a prerequisite for this role.

 

Knowledge about ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and/or ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) is a plus.
