What you`ll do:

You will have the exciting opportunity to participate in all phases of the development of a complex Web Framework. After an initial on-the-job training you will work in a team of talented and motivated developers. You will also get the experience of working with agile principles (Scrum, TDD).

As a (Associate) Developer (f/m/d) in the SAPUI5 Team you: 

•    Design, develop and maintain essential functionality of the SAPUI5 framework and UI5 Tooling
•    Contribute to innovative solutions as a member of an engaged and experienced team of framework developers
•    Participate in an agile development process, collaborating with thriving internal and external developer communities

What you bring:

•    Solid programming skills and a strong foundation in web technologies and standards
•    Very good knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript
•    Proven experience in Node.js development and testing
•    Practical experience in working with web frameworks and tools like Webpack
•    Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure
•    Passion for agile development and open-source projects
•    Excellent team player with strong communication skills
•    Fluent English language skills oral and written
•    Good German language skills oral and written

Our department is responsible for delivering state-of-the-art web frameworks and services for the User Interfaces of SAP applications. SAPUI5 is provided as a scalable, enterprise-proven JavaScript framework with a comprehensive set of features. It is also available for the community outside of SAP under the name of OpenUI5. Within the SAPUI5 Core team, we are responsible for foundational aspects of the framework and innovative open-source projects such as UI5 Tooling, a powerful build and development environment.
