THE ROLE

Developing software at SAP is more than just writing efficient code - it is a team effort and includes various tasks like designing the solution, coding, testing, quality assurance, creating / reviewing documentation and supporting our customers. We follow the agile software engineering methodology and are in close contact with our customers and stakeholders to acquire early feedback.
In your role as a Developer you will be a vital contributor to the development of SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit and the underlying Migration Workbench (MWB) which is the core engine of our team for data transfer purposes. As part of this role, you will work with latest technologies of the SAP S/4HANA environment such as Core Data Services, SAP Gateway Services and SAPUI5. You will be a key enabler to bring SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit to the next level.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in computer science or related technical discipline
  • Profound development skills in ABAP OO language (including dynamic programming) or another object oriented language
  • You show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency
  • You are a strong, committed and reliable team player with a strong service ethic
  • You have good communication skills and very good skills in English and German language, both written and verbal

WORK EXPERIENCE

2-3+ years of experience in the area of software development.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Many customers are currently exploring their path to SAP S/4HANA. When it comes to the migration of data from any legacy system into SAP S/4HANA (on Premise or Cloud), the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit is the tool of choice. 
The SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit is one of the flagship tools of the department T&I Data Management & Analytics – Integration Technologies. The teams responsible for the S/4 HANA Migration cockpit within the department are spread across 2 locations, Beijing (China) and Walldorf (Germany). The team members are organized as individual SCRUM teams per location with a high level of collaboration between the locations. Besides the SAP S/4 HANA Migration Cockpit, the teams are also responsible for other migration & replication tools.
