What you'll do

Enhancing our team of SRE enthusiasts, you will be responsible for extending our monitoring infrastructures, mitigating outages, analyzing root causes, and ensuring the 24/7 availability of the BTP security services. Ideally, you bring interest in hyperscaler database administration and help to set up, configure and tune the persistence layer of our security services. 

You foster the SRE mindset of the team and strive to continuously improve the resiliency and availability of our cloud services. Performance tuning and implementing measures like rate-limiting will be part of your role and you will also work closely with the development team to help them make the right architectural decisions.

Training, as well as close collaboration with our existing network of experts, will help you grow into the role, in case, not every area is familiar to you yet.

What you bring

• A good university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, Ph.D.) in computer science or related fields like software engineering or similar
• 3+ years of experience in professional software development
• 2+ years experience as SRE/DevOps Engineer or hyperscaler database administration
• Excellent SQL and problem-solving skills 
• Experience with CI/CD, associated tools, and configuration as code
• Proficiency with APM Tools like Dynatrace or Cloud Watch 
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructures, networks, and components 
• Good programming skills in modern programming and scripting languages like Bash, Groovy, Java
• Knowledge of information security and cloud-native architecture is an advantage
• Fluent language skills in English, good language skills in German is a plus
