ABOUT THE TEAM
The Strategic Partner Engagement (SPE) Team at SAP is a group of professionals responsible for actively steering and managing supplier relationships with strategic external IT organizations. The SPE team works closely with SAP key strategic partners to align and develop business objectives, drive joint innovation, and create win/win opportunities. Although focus is on the “buy from” aspects, the target is to establish and maintain a close relationship for a deep understanding of what the key parameters for a potential “win” are, beyond the commercial aspects. In this team, all infrastructure categories are represented and daily experience, lessons learned and most important an efficient methodology is shared amongst the colleagues to enhance and professionalize your skills on modern cloud partnering.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
In the role as an Cloud-Infrastructure Partner Manager (f/m/d) on the Strategic Partner Engagement (SPE) Team you take a lead to consolidate SAP’s Hardware / Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) demand and align this with a holistic view on relevant Partner engagements to define the appropriate supplier / partner strategy in a defined SAP sourcing ecosystem. Measure and mirror operational performance on a highly aggregated and frequent level. Develop the account management setup to identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities, support negotiating partnership agreements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of joint initiatives.
The Cloud-Infrastructure Partner Manager (f/m/d) will be responsible for:
- Understand, prospect, summarize and consolidate long term SAP demand, budget planning considering specific IaaS requirements.
- Lead and manage the strategic SAP Cloud-Infrastructure & Hardware Partner relationship in all vendor lifecycle related topics
- Review that day-to-day supplier operation is effective and take accountability of managing one or more global SAP Partner to ensure service delivery aligned to contract
- Evolve and develop the partner / supplier governance and the account management setup
- Own the cost, efficiency and performance of respective suppliers including relevant market check / benchmarking of all services
- Support supplier negotiations, jointly with the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), driven by business and market analysis
- Work with our sales and market units to define a suitable partner play to cover specific markets, driving CS&D’s future strategic Partner roadmap + strategic ecosystem
YOUR PROFILE
- 3-6+ years of related professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, or a related field
- Strong affinity for networking and building lasting relationships with partners / suppliers
- Good understanding and interest of cloud infrastructure and service models
- Some experience in purchasing services Proven project/program management skills in international and global initiatives
- Ability to challenge status quo with strong analytical thinking
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English and German
