YOUR FUTURE ROLE


The Data Center Sustainability and ESG Specialist within the Global Real Estate and Facility organization (GRF) will be instrumental in supporting the sustainability and ESG initiatives of SAP's data centres under the functional lead of the Data Center Sustainability and ESG Expert. The role is crucial for successful execution of the company's ESG strategy and Net Zero roadmap in its data centre portfolio.

  • Assist the Data Center Sustainability and ESG Expert with regional expertise (Americas)
  • Assist in the development and execution of the GRF Data Centre’s global sustainability and ESG strategy.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams to integrate ESG considerations into data centre design and operations.
  • Aid in establishing and maintaining relationships with external sustainability organizations and stakeholders.
  • Assist in sustainability audits, ESG reporting, and monitoring of ESG performance indicators.
  • Support innovation activities regarding sustainability and ESG in Data Centres.
  • Identify regional differences in sustainability practices and work to align them with global strategy.

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science or related field.
  • Understanding of sustainability standards in data centre environments, preferable if familiar with EU / German ESG legislation and regulation.
  • At least three years of experience in supporting the implementation of global sustainability and ESG strategies within a data centre environment with portfolios larger than 1MW capacity.
  • Proven experience of working in and with globally distributed teams.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with colleagues, senior leaders, external partners, and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated ability in contributing to value creation and innovation for Data Center Efficiency and Operations.
