What you`ll do
SAP BTP ABAP Environment is the SAP Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offering for ABAP Cloud development that enables developers to leverage their traditional on-premises ABAP knowledge to develop and run ABAP Cloud applications in the SAP Business Technology Platform. We have a fully Kubernetes native architecture in place to leverage container technology and economics of scale. Our PaaS offering is a production grade and robust platform with baked-in Kubernetes best practices for compliance and security engineering. All lifecycle actions are based on a high degree of automation and backed by deep and accurate telemetry to adhere to industry standards. 

You will experience first-hand how the heavy lifting engineering work is done under the covers of the BTP ABAP PaaS offering. This means that you are part of the whole development lifecycle from sketching ideas to experiencing the product you build during operations with a special focus on security and compliance. You will perform technical evaluations, drive engineering efforts, and ensure that our systems are robust against threats while adhering to regulatory standards.

What you bring

• You should bring recent engineering experience with Kubernetes to the table – both concepts and coding.
• At least 3+ years of work experiences is expected.
• Fluency in writing Golang and/or NodeJS code is expected.
• A solid understanding of cloud native engineering principles with a focus on compliance and security aspects is required. 
• Practical experience with AWS / Azure / GCP is beneficial.
• C1 German language proficiency and fluent English language skills are required.
