We are looking for an experienced Developer (f/m/d) who supports SAP Supply Chain Planning and Optimization development. 


In your role as a Development Expert, you have the opportunity to drive to the conceptions and development of the future supply chain planning solutions in order to address the social, technical and economic challenges of our century. 


The Corona pandemic showed how vulnerable companies are to disruptions in their supply chains. Companies therefore need a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. SAP Supply Chain Planning and Optimization solutions take this need into account. 
With SAP’s leadership these solutions will be introduced into leading industrial companies across multiple industries worldwide and have a massive impact on making business processes more efficient, sustainable and resilient.  


As a Development Expert (f/m/d) in a development team, you will be a vital and driving contributor to the full development cycle by discovering requirements together with our customers and partners in industry, identifying the appropriate architecture, designing, implementing and testing the planning algorithms as well as maintaining it. You will work closely with a cross-functional team ensuring high quality of the delivered planning procedures. 




  • Excellent domain expertise in optimization procedures and other artificial intelligence methods and supply chain planning 
  • Ability to rapidly translate modern concepts, business models, and technologies and drive its adoption
  • Demonstrate motivation and result driven attitude with strong customer focus, excellent quality, design, development and delivery skills by working in short development and continuous delivery conditions
  • Proven ability to influence a cross-functional development team without formal authority, excellent teamwork skills and ability to work in and cross scrum teams 
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, being creative, analytical and solution-oriented
  • Excellent Programming and Software Engineering Skills (C++ and another object-oriented languages) and experiences in modern cloud architecture
  • Fluent in verbal and written English and German
  • Preferred field(s) of study: University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or comparable qualifications
  • At least 9 years of relevant experience in software engineering



The SAP mathematical Optimization develops modern optimization solutions by using optimization and artificial intelligence methods that are used in all applications that industrial companies worldwide use to plan and optimize their business. 

The planning procedures are characterized by high scalability concerning the volume to be planned (procedure efficiency), broad functionality and seamless integrations into SAP applications. The solution will natively exploit SAP’s state-of-the-art capabilities in SAP in SAP Cloud Platform deployed on Kubernetes. 

You will be part of the Supply Chain Planning Optimization development team focusing on supply planning and optimization.
