SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION

Our mission is to build SAP’s data management layer (DML). The latter enables unified data sharing and consumption across enterprise LOBs. It will be a central service for all SAP applications. It comprises a set of services and standardized concepts to provide and consume data assets holistically.
As a Development Architect (DA), you play a key role in shaping the DML. You will guide our international team to deliver scalable cloud services. Being a true team player, you are interested in implementing a state-of-the-art cloud service that adheres to qualities such as service availability, resilience and performance. You will have exposure to latest technology trends such as Kubernetes, containerized applications and delivering applications as a service. Your focus will be in integrating and expanding assets of SAP Data Intelligence and its underlying Core Data Platform into the DML.

EXPERIENCE / ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in software development and project management
  • Solid understanding of a variety of programming tools and development platforms
  • Good understanding of Container Runtimes, Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of SAP Data Intelligence and/or Data Warehouse Cloud is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Highly analytical mindset, with an ability to see both the big picture and the details
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and German

The Core Data Platform team within SAP’s Data Management org is a young and ambitious team located in Sao Leopoldo (Brazil), Xian (China), Istanbul (Turkey), Potsdam (Germany) and Walldorf (Germany).
