What you’ll build

 

The SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC) & AI Customer Success Manager (CSM) helps customers drive meaningful adoption and consumption of SAP Business Data Cloud in their application projects, positioning BDC as the cloud platform of choice for their business needs. BDC is a SaaS solution that unifies and governs all SAP data while seamlessly connecting with third-party data, enabling business leaders to make impactful and data-driven decisions.  

 

As a First Line Leader, you will play a key role in combining leadership and operational expertise to steer and transform a highly motivated team serving an industry in Germany. You will be responsible for delivering business results through proactive customer engagement within the Customer Value Journey.

 

In addition, you will innovatively generate ideas for cACV demand generation to drive growth, safeguard renewals, and minimize churn for successful cloud business. A strong understanding of business KPIs will be essential, as you will take charge of all relevant metrics and tools. Your comprehensive knowledge will empower data-driven decision-making and enable the optimization of strategic execution to achieve exceptional results.

 

  • Deliver business results: Take ownership of achieving the financial targets and ambitious growth aspirations set for your team and industry within the calendar year. While focusing on meeting short-term objectives, maintain a clear vision of SAP’s long-term goals, including our dedication to ethical business practices and customer success. Align SAP’s overarching strategy with your own business area by developing actionable plans that contribute to sustained, long-term success.
  • Operational excellence: Set up and manage processes to drive business success, from forecasting consumed ACV to renewals, demand generation, and pipeline building. Navigate complexity with confidence and deliver regular updates to management.

  • Proactive customer engagement and success: Manage your team in proactively engaging customers to facilitate structured account strategies that align SAP solutions with their business objectives throughout their lifecycle.
  • Demand generation & pipeline development: Lead creative initiatives to identify adoption opportunities and generate demand across your territory. Explore new account opportunities and partnerships while driving pipeline growth within both assigned and unassigned accounts.
  • Scale via partners: Identify top partners, build long-term relationships and develop comprehensive business plans to scale the consumption business together with them.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Align across SAP teams including sales, customer advisory / presales, demand generation, support, services, and marketing to coordinate impactful strategies, ensuring valuable outcomes for customers. Position SAP BDC as the cornerstone for value creation and innovation.
  • Territory strategy and enablement: Apply a structured approach to territory planning and account management, identify business potentials, and ensure the most effective utilization of people and go-to-market assets. Share strategic insights and enablement practices to maximize success across the team and territory.   

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Leadership and operational excellence: Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide teams, inspiring them to excel in roles such as Customer Success Manager (CSM) to achieve cACV (consumed Annual Contract Value) targets. Experience leading teams through periods of change with empathy and a positive spirit, ensuring alignment with the strategic business vision.
  • Strategic account management & proactive demand generation skills: Several years of proven track record of successfully achieving business goals, managing customer relationships combined with a strong understanding of cultivating new opportunities and generating pipeline growth in the fields of sales, customer success management, customer advisory, or consulting sales. Several years of experience working directly with SAP BDC and AI.
  • Industry expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in industries such as consumer products, retail, discrete manufacturing, energy & services industries, with the ability to provide tailored expertise in these sectors.
  • Cloud expertise and global transformation programs: Deep understanding of cloud software solutions, delivery models, and challenges, as well as involvement in complex global transformation programs in consulting or advisory roles.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills: Create ideas for cACV demand generation to drive growth, safeguard renewals, and minimize churn, with a strong understanding of business KPIs. Take charge of all relevant metrics and tools, ensuring you possess a comprehensive understanding that empowers data-driven decision-making and optimizes strategic execution.
  • Organizational navigation and risk management: Demonstrated ability to work within complex organizational structures, manage risks, de-escalate critical customer situations, and navigate SAP’s support processes, systems, and tools.
  • Network and relationship-building: Established connections with SAP Market Unit leadership, account teams, and industry teams. Ability to collaborate effectively across partner ecosystems and Solution Management organizations. Foster tight alignment and collaboration with sales and presales teams to ensure a cohesive strategy and unified approach towards achieving business goals
  • Language proficiency and communication skills: Fluency in German and English, alongside excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
