YOUR FUTURE ROLE

 

As the Regional Manager Workspace Solutions & Capital Projects Germany, you will play a pivotal role in shaping SAP’s real estate and facilities strategy within Germany, aligning local operations with the global vision of SAP’s GRF and GFA (Global Facility Management) strategies. Your focus will be on ensuring the seamless execution of workspace and capital projects while fostering innovation and transformation within your team.

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Strategic Implementation: Ensure global strategies and guidelines are effectively implemented in the German region, aligning local projects with SAP’s overall corporate objectives.
  • Global Collaboration: Actively contribute to the global GRF team by providing local insights and input, infusing the global strategy with regional expertise and ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a multidisciplinary team in a transformational capacity, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Guide the team to adopt new ways of working and align with global strategic objectives.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee and manage a complex portfolio of large-scale and multi-faceted projects, ensuring resources are allocated strategically and efficiently.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Drive strategic sourcing processes for project portfolios, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, cost efficiency, and alignment with SAP’s sustainability and business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent SAP in negotiations with authorities, suppliers, and customers, building trusted partnerships to achieve project success.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Develop and oversee budgets, ensuring accurate planning, forecasting, and reporting for construction and capital projects.

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader with a proven track record of driving transformation and managing large-scale, complex project portfolios in a global corporate environment.

Key qualifications include:

 

  • Educational Background: A degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Professional Experience: At least 8 years of experience in project management, including 5 years in leadership roles. Expertise in managing portfolios of large and complex projects is essential.
  • Strategic Mindset: Experience in implementing global strategies and aligning them with regional operations. Strong ability to contribute actively to global teams by providing regional input and insights.
  • Transformational Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and transforming multidisciplinary teams to align with evolving global strategies.
  • Sourcing Expertise: Experience in strategically sourcing resources for project portfolios to ensure efficiency, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of HOAI, VOB, BGB, and general facility management practices.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial and resource management skills, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and German (spoken and written).
