What you`ll do
As part of Corporate Processes & IT, the Product, Data & Technology (PDT) unit delivers cutting-edge solutions that drive innovation at scale bringing business value and enabling transformation across SAP. Our primary objective is to effectively manage all product-related processes and the corresponding IT delivery for our product development, support, and cloud operations (Innovate-to-Operate). This means we are responsible for ensuring exceptional developer experience and operational excellence through service management, as well as leveraging consistent and high-quality master data for product commercialization.
As Head of Engineering Processes & Solutions (f/m/d), you will be responsible for Hyperspace, our internal development platform, which plays a crucial role in Innovate-to-Operate. By aligning and consolidating activities that impact development productivity and developer experience, Hyperspace strives to enable SAP development teams to play in the DORA high-performing cluster (DevOps Research & Assessment by Google Cloud: https://dora.dev/). In addition to the evolution of Hyperspace you will build a team to launch new service offerings covering product planning and product management processes & capabilities to support SAP´s newly established harmonized product operating model. Lead and inspire your teams:
- Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and drive business engagement.
- Build a world class developer workplace that enables engineers to realize SAP´s ambition to be #1 Enterprise application and Business AI company.
- Build a high-performing organization by establishing trustful relationships and empowered teams.
- Define a compelling strategy to further evolve Hyperspace and drive its execution by breaking it down into actionable objectives.
- Build the solution from a customer perspective, delivering end-to-end value.
- Drive the innovation of Hyperspace along latest market trends and capabilities to increase developer productivity at SAP.
- Manage IT operations and support across the entire Hyperspace solution portfolio, drive operational excellence and deliver quality compliant solutions at scale.
- Expand service offerings into product planning and product management.
What you bring
- Leadership qualities & track record in engaging with Executives and Senior Managers in Engineering.
- Ability to establish, influence and communicate our Hyperspace strategy and vision on C-level.
- Proven experience in building partnerships across organizations to drive shared success.
- Proven experience in the execution of strategy.
- Extensive experience of organizational change management with the ability to drive operational change both internally and with partners.
- Extensive experience of engineering productivity, strong entrepreneurship, stakeholder communication,
- A pragmatic hands-on approach and be a cross-organizational team player.
- Excellent understanding of how to establish product management related processes and tools at enterprise scale.
- Proven experience developing the maturity of business units through innovation, problem solving and process management.
- Excellent understanding of DevOps trends and best practices in the software industry.
- Good knowledge of IT/Cloud auditing and compliance controls (ISO etc).
- Good knowledge in SAP’s development processes and frameworks.
- Minimum Job Experience: 10+ Years; thereof within SAP context: 5+ years
- Experience as Manager.
- Experience in driving initiatives across large organizations.
