What you'll do

As an IT Senior/Principal Solution Architect (f/m/d) on our team, you will define solution architecture and ensure implementation of our ITOM Event Management solutions on our harmonized ServiceNow landscape used by thousands of users across the globe. You will work closely with business owners, product managers, and in-house experts in an agile setting. In your daily business, you will make technical and architecture concepts, contribute to implementation, and operations of SAP’s Service Management applications and landscape. You should be able to understand business demands, design corresponding solution architectures and drive implementations with the agile development team. In the program you are leading based on your deep expertise and dedication to establish a reliable and end user friendly solution. 

 

Specifically, you will:

  • Lead solution architecture for ITOM Event Management
  • Work closely with sprint teams to ensure architectural design is transferred in working products 
  • Responsible for architectural design, development, and refactoring across multiple agile teams
  • Be proficient with ITOM/ITSM business processes and transfer business demands to reliable and simple solutions
  • Drive continuous improvements with focus on quality, stability, usability and maintainability
  • Applying DevOps mindset to take operational responsibility for your solutions 
  • Establish a trusted partnership with our internal business and technical counterparts and enable “ONE TEAM” spirit from delivery to operation
  • Act as thought leader for other team members

 

What you bring

  • Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology, Software engineering, business informatics or related fields
  • 6+ years of professional working experience in architecture or development (with focus on ServiceNow ITOM)
  • Experience in ServiceNow Event Management like integrating various monitoring systems and correlation rules
  • Deep IT/Cloud DevOps knowledge and ability to designing large-scale IT systems
  • Experience in agile application delivery processes, procedures & agile implementation methods (e.g. SAFe)
  • Leader and team player – give guidance and show excellent coordination skills, passionate about execution, motivated and self-managed
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills and be an interface to different stakeholders talking “different languages” 
  • Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving and analytical skills

We are responsible for harmonizing and optimizing SAP’s support & cloud operations processes and parts of security operations on a user-centric, innovative platform, focused on delivering a simple, stable, effective and desirable internal (for SAP employees) and external (for SAP customers) customer service management. Central to this effort is the 3rd Party SaaS platform ServiceNow and its applications IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Security Operations Management (SecOps). By creating this solution, we support all SAP lines of business and cross teams.
