What you’ll do 

As an IT Technology Principal Consultant (f/m/d) on our team, you will take over product management activities of our IT Operations Management landscape used by thousands of users across the globe. You will closely collaborate with business owners, product owners, architects and other experts in an agile environment. 

In your daily business, you will be focused on the long- and short-term product vision and contribute to the implementation by ensuring product delivery.  


Concretely, you will: 

  • Define the product vision and strategy based on market research, ServiceNow product releases, as well as customer needs analysis 

  • Manage the product roadmap – create and maintain the roadmap which outlines the features and capabilities that will be delivered over time 

  • Develop the business case together with the stakeholders and subsequently measure value generated by the implementation 

  • Work with area product owner to prioritize features and capabilities of the product based on customers needs, business value and technical feasibility 

  • Support the Area Product Owner in designing features, defining the smallest possible feature, where the delivery will still bring value to the stakeholders 

  • Know and defend the ServiceNow out-of-the-box capabilities 

  • Assess whether feature affects the upgradability of the platform 

  • Support Stream in preparing business go-lives 

  • Support Stream in assessing feature completeness and quality, by e.g. testing from business requirements according to features acceptance criteria 

  • Align LoB requirements with NOW Standards 

  • Monitor and measure success of the product 


What you bring 

  • Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in business informatics or information technology or related fields 

  • Be able to articulate a clear and compelling product vision that aligns with company’s overall strategy.  

  • Define product roadmaps based on the product vision, that outline major features and milestones for the product 

  • Prioritize features and requirements based on business value and customer needs. Closely align with the development team to ensure that the highest-priority features are delivered fist 

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills and be an interface to different stakeholders talking “different languages”. You will work closely with different stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the product is meeting their needs and to address any issues that will arise 

  • Have an agile mindset and be comfortable in working in a fast-paced, iterative development environment 

  • Be responsible for the overall success of the product also keeping in mind continuous improvement to identify opportunities for improvement while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy 

  • Experience in ServiceNow Platform is a plus 

  • Knowledge of Agile (SAFe) implementation methods is a plus 

  • Leader and team player – give guidance and show excellent coordination skills, including conflict management 

  • Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving and analytical skills 

  • Quick learner, passionate, motivated and self-managed 

  • Fluent English and German language skills oral and written

  • 5+ years of professional working experience in architecture development or comparable 

  • Experience in application delivery processes, procedures & key metrics
