What you'll do 
If you are passionate about programming in Go, database management systems, achieving enterprise level performance and quality, and cloud services then we have the perfect opportunity for you. You will contribute to SAP’s cloud transformation, running Kubernetes operators and services, automating database operation such as provisioning, configuring and scaling resilient multi-host HANA database setups. Design multi-cloud solutions at scale with reliability, availability, and quality as a priority. 

 
In our focus areas, you can expect to…  

• Contribute to SAP HANA Cloud feature development by designing, writing, testing, and debugging code for cloud services and infrastructure 
• Enhance your skills in multiple programming languages. Our main languages are Go and Python, and developers interact with systems programmed in C++ and Rust, along with other languages utilized for infrastructure automation. 
• Work within a large-scale Kubernetes environment 
• High-quality software development with respect to usability, testability and supportability 
• Design and maintain central services with operability in mind 
• Collaborate across teams on a daily basis in an international environment 

What you bring    

Required skills: 

• Good Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related technical discipline  
• Good programming skills, ideally experience with Golang and Python 
• Ability to analyze and debug complex problems 
• High motivation to work in a team as well as self-driven profession 
• Verbal and written working proficiency in English 

Preferred skills: 

• Knowledge of relational database management systems (DBMS) 
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Grafana, Prometheus 
• Experience in Hyperscaler environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP 
• Experience with agile methodology and test-driven development  
• Verbal and written working proficiency in German 

Tech you bring 

Golang, Python testing, preference for experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Rust
