What you'll do

SAP is looking to further strengthen our Office Network team within our Walldorf location. The position requires strong analytical skills in combination with a genuine service-oriented approach including the ability to anticipate changes and present recommendations to Management. Flexible and open-minded thinking with the ability to identify dependencies among complex enterprise Network services and defining appropriate actions. 

 

  • Work together with a team of technical experts to ensure ongoing timely delivery of Network related projects. 
  • Develop relationships with other IT departments to stay aligned on new service / technology rollouts 
  • Ensure guidelines, policies, tools and processes are kept up to date  
  • Share your knowledge continuously to the team
  • Identify limitations of current and future network landscapes and drive optimization of the overall SAP Office network 
  • Work with SAP Global Security to design future ready Network landscapes 

 

What you bring

  • A formal education with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is a benefit. 
  • Experience designing high-availability Networks in a technically complex
  • environment and the ability to anticipate changes are valued assets, in addition to:

  • Prepared to travel in / out of the country 
  • Deep knowledge of Network Security 
  • Advanced project management skills 
  • CCIE or CCNP grade in-deep knowledge of network protocols, network infrastructure and related IT services 
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written German and English 

 

Work experience:

  • Project Management Experience (3-5 years of proven experience in leading global projects) 
  • Experience in designing large and complex active and passive Network Infrastructure for office landscapes: LAN, WLAN, Internet, MPLS, WAN, NextGen Firewalls, 5G, etc. 
  • Experienced in working with global Network providers (Hardware, Software, Circuits).  
  • Flexible, self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced and multicultural organization.  
  • Strong understanding of routing and switching network technologies.  
  • IPv4/IPv6, SDN, VxLAN, BGP, 802.1X, NAC and LISP should be common for you.

The Global Corporate Office Network Service team manages the internal corporate office networks for more than 200 locations at SAP. The team is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the data network services in SAP’s Internal Corporate Network.
