Position title: SAP Finance iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Controlling Intern within Center of Excellence Central Forecast
Location: Walldorf
Internship duration: March 1, 2026
In this role, you’ll:
- Assist in the preparation of the SAP Group's central financial forecast
- Support workstreams in the "Next Level Forecast" project, working towards the vision of enhancing standardization and automation in SAP's Forecast process. In this context, you will support the team in the E2E implementation of new FC models in Databricks, which includes
- The creation of datasets as the basis for the FC models
- Implementation of time series models in Databricks
- Testing FC model results and adjusting them based on test results
- In this context, we closely collaborate with IT, data scientists, and various business levels

You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and you show exceptional drive and sense of responsibility by taking initiative, using available space in the project to develop own ideas and lead them to results. What makes you successful:
- Studies of Business Administration, Mathematics or Business Informatics
- Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues
- Interest in cutting-edge IT solutions for continual process enhancement
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, with a particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint, is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both English and German
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team
- Eagerness to explore and expand skills and knowledge
- Affinity for data science and forecasting; familiarity with time-series methods and basic machine learning
- Basic knowledge of Databricks including first experience in Python
- Understanding of Controlling/FP&A concepts and the ability to translate business questions into analytical solutions.

Join our team at the Center of Expertise (CoE) “Central Forecast” within Corporate Controlling, where we focus on the financial central forecast process for SAP Group. Our team regularly provides a total year revenue and expenses forecast on SAP Group level to the Board, using standardized financial calculation models and predictive analytics tools. In addition, we are involved in strategic projects aimed at optimizing, standardizing and automating our financial forecast process.
