About the team:


Our Corporate Processes & Information Technology Business Operations team (mainly based in Walldorf, Germany) supports the Chief Process and Information Officer (CPIO) of SAP and other teams in our organization of over 4,000 employees.
CPIT Business Operations drives core business services for the Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT) organization using a Business Partner model and a Center of Excellence framework. As part of this unit, the Employee Engagement & Governance CoE ensures high standards of employee engagement, manages communication infrastructure and tools, and conducts quality reviews for effective and consistent communication across CPIT. 
The team ensures proactive and tailored support for the CPIT leadership team and the CPIO, focusing on standardized content delivery, value-driven storytelling, and unified employee engagement channels.


What you’ll do:


Position title: SAP Information Technology iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Strategic Communication & Events
Work Area: Communication
Location: Walldorf, Germany or remote (remote work possible within Germany)
Expected start date: On/after October 1, 2024


In this role, you’ll:

 

  • Actively support the internal communication efforts of SAP’s IT organization called Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT).
  • Gain hands-on experience in internal event management coordination from planning, facilitating, and documenting meetings to execution with follow-ups, action items, and next steps. 
  • Take an active role in the workstreams or ownership for dedicated event and/or project formats as you work closely with communication and event leads.
  • Develop and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills by writing and editing various internal communications assets for the entire CPIT organization.  
  • Support in the creation and execution of communication plans and definition of strategic initiatives for employee engagement.
  • Work with colleagues from other departments from all over the world in terms of communication as well as project management to understand the full scope of CPIT’ operations.
  • Work with communications colleagues of the Business Operations team and gain insights into the operations of one of the world’s leading IT organizations.

 

This student position is targeted at someone who is interested in writing different kinds of business-related input and enjoys creating different communication materials such as internal blogs, templates, meeting presentations, guidelines, etc.


Who you are:


You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences looking to gain hands-on experience and apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting.
Would you like to work in an international team with the opportunity to be innovative and work on complex business solutions? We’re looking for someone who is proactive, well-organized, solutions-oriented, and energized by lifelong learning.

  • Preferred fields of study: Business Administration / Business Informatics / Marketing / Communications / Media or related fields in Humanities
  • Computer skills: Office 365 (Advanced)
  • Language skills: Business fluent in English and German
  • Hard skills: time management, project management experience, data visualization, and process analysis techniques
  • Soft skills: Team player, open-minded, detail-oriented, communicative, self-driven, reliable
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with marketing, brand or communication strategy development; knowledge about latest trends in Information Technology and first experience with social media management, video editing or graphic design tools are a plus.

Note for Germany: currently the SAP Internship Experience Program is only open to interns and being hired into other contract types such as working students will preclude the candidate's participation in the program.
