About the team:

 

You will join the Product Engineering Intelligent Enterprise & Cross Architecture organization, which is at the very heart of SAP. Our unit connects all relevant cross-engineering, strategy, and architecture functions that support SAP’s customers to thrive as Intelligent Enterprises. We are responsible for engineering, enabling, and promoting the Intelligent Enterprise, crafting cloud and mobile experiences our customers will love, and defining the right architectural foundations for SAP’s future platform. What you’ll do:

 

Position title: SAP PE CPEX Integration & Cross Architecture - iXp Intern (f/m/d) Software Developer

Work Area: Software-Design and Development

Location: Walldorf

Working hours: full-time (40 hours/week)

Expected start date: August/September 2024

 

In this role, you’ll:

 

You will work along with experts in the unified metering workstream to bring high-level discussions down to a technical and fact-based level. You will engage with various LoB experts and have an opportunity to build your network and contribute to SAP’s NorthStar Architecture.

 

Your main tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing variations of Open Telemetry based metering for commercial- and functional usage metrics and doing a comparative analysis
  • Extracting concrete requirements and qualification criteria from stakeholder feedback
  • Comparing implementation variants, based requirements and qualification criteria

 

Who you are:

 

You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

 

  • You are currently an enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, studying preferably in the fields of computer science
  • Strong development skills. Knowledge in Java, springboot, node.js would be an advantage.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively and efficiently
  • Hands-on attitude and proactive in communication
  • Speaking English fluently, German is a plus

Note for Germany: currently the SAP Internship Experience Program is only open to interns and being hired into other contract types such as working students will preclude the candidate's participation in the program.
