About the team: 

This position is located within the Corporate Financial Reporting department of SAP.  This department is directly assigned to the CFO of SAP and is responsible for the completeness and correctness of SAP’s IFRS accounting and for SAP’s external financial reporting under German and U.S. law. 

This position is assigned to the Corporate Accounting Technology, Closing & Consolidation team.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you’ll: 

In our Team you will get invaluable experience by learning and understanding the GL Master Data governance, postings process flow, system set ups and global country specifics. You will also interact with different stakeholders like Accounts Payable, IT, Treasury, Accounts Receivables, R2R, O2I etc.
In this role you will work on a global level primarily on the maintenance of GL master data- IFRS accounts across all SAP entities.

Core tasks include:

• Maintenance of GL master data, Inter-Company Business partners
• General administrative tasks
• Support in the Quarterly and Year end closing activities
• Contribute to the success of the team
• Support process standardization, automation, and simplification activities

Coordinate cross-project alignment within CFR and other neighboring functions (IT, Shared Service Center)
Take advantage of opportunities for team's innovative projects that help drive SAP's technology, while improving our data management processes.

• Current student at a university pursuing a business-related degree.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Very good command on MS office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
• Knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
• Interest in keeping up to date technically on aspects of accounting. 
• Team player with the ability to work within an international team setup.
• Outstanding analytical skills in combination with the ability to ‘think out of the box’.
• Knowledge of accounting-related functionalities in SAP ERP preferred.
• Good organization skills, ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment to deliver high. quality results under pressure and against tight deadlines.
