SUMMARY & ROLE INFORMATION

Work with key stakeholders across all areas of SAP to drive the orchestration and execution of SAP’s REINVENT Strategy as a project manager within the Best Run TopX portfolio as a part of the Transformation Customer team. The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong understanding of SAP’s strategy, as well as insight into the core functions within SAP and the Customer Journey.

You will be expected to quickly pick up and comprehend new topics, business scenarios, etc. to be able to successfully lead a project team as well as keeping our executives and top level management informed. A sound stakeholder network across board areas within SAP is a plus.

This role includes the following tasks:

  • Operational management of complex, multi year programs impacting various organizations and LoBs within SAP
  • Act as a central point of contact regarding all project / program related queries for L1 / L2 managers
  • Prepare and provide clear and concise presentations to top level management and SAP executives for all project / program related topics
  • Track action items, prepare meeting materials, and ensure proper follow ups with all necessary stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder and expectation management; build-up/maintain large network across all involved roles on operational level to support collaboration & execution
  • Channel escalations into the respectively responsible channels

 EXPERIENCE (ROLE REQUIREMENTS)

  • University degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other relevant disciplines
  • Excellent project management skills from conceptual work over coordination to execution/implementation
  • A proven track record in leading large agile projects and ability to bring business requirements and technical design together and deliver on time and in budget under high management attention
  • Broad internal network on operational level preferred, ideally cross board areas
  • C-level negotiation, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to drive and execute topics self-dependent and turn into action and tangible results
  • Excellent communication in English incl. profound presentation and facilitation skills
  • Customer focus and strong interpersonal, verbal, presentation and writing skills
  • Be curious, focus on big picture, open-minded and a real team player. Provide thought leadership and act as trusted and objective executive advisor. 
  • 8+ years of working experience with proven track record in strategic project / process management or strategic consulting
  • Extensive experience in managing large, critical and cross-functional projects

The SAP Transformation Office as part of the Global Performance Organization under the Office of the CEO board area focuses on managing the Best Run TopX portfolio of transformative programs: an integral part of the execution of our Reinvent strategy focusing on cross-board initiatives with an end-to-end view, in close collaboration with the COO community, Intelligent Enterprise Solutions and process managers.
