What you'll do

As a working student in AI engineering, you will hands-on work on future sustainability solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for all technical students who want to apply their knowledge for the greater good and to support a more sustainable future as well as learn how scaling of software solutions works. 

Expectations:

• Experience with tools for software project management (Apache Maven, Jenkins) and version control (Git)
• Knowledge in LLM related frameworks such as Lang Chain and also on Python Packages such as Chainlit
• Basic understanding how LLMs work and different prompting techniques
• Knowledge in frameworks for creating REST-services such as Spring-Boot, Express and Flask
• Previous work experience that included UX design, front-end and back-end software development tasks
• Experience with SAP cloud development frameworks and technologies like CAP, RAP, CDS, OData is a plus
• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform based services

Location is flexible: Berlin or Walldorf

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) who is currently enrolled at a university or a university of applied sciences
• Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Business Informatics, Computational Linguistics
• Computer skills: Programming skills in Python, Java, JavaScript is a plus
• Soft skills: team player, good communication skills, ability to work independently on given tasks
• SAP technology: Work experience with Fiori, Fiori Elements, SAPUI5 is preferred
• Basic understanding about Generative AI
• Language skills: fluent in English, German is a plus

Meet your team

The Sustainability Innovation team, (part of the Sustainability Growth Unit, overseen by the Office of the CEO) is mandated to support the digital sustainability transformation of SAP customers. This is achieved through the end-to-end orchestration of ecosystem innovation, government/academic funded projects and accelerated organic innovation incubation with a holistic focus on sustainability. The SAP Sustainability Innovation Engagement team is present in multiple locations around the globe and works closely with product teams and stakeholders across the internal and external value chain to orchestrate innovation and would like to welcome you as a new part of it.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
