What you'll do
Are you a creative and organized individual with a passion for open source? Then join our UI5 product team as a working student (f/m/d) and contribute directly to the growth and success of our international developer community around the open-source framework, OpenUI5.
As a key member of our team, you will help organize our flagship event, UI5con, an annual community event that brings together developers from around the world. You'll be involved in every aspect of the event, from planning to execution. Bring your innovative ideas to the table and create unforgettable experiences for developers worldwide, fostering exchange and networking within the community.
Furthermore, you’ll craft and execute engaging social media strategies to expand the reach of our open-source projects. Utilize your skills in graphic design, video editing, and creative writing to craft compelling content that inspires the developer community to embrace OpenUI5.
Gain valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities of community-based projects while acquiring practical experience in event management and marketing. Hone your communication and creative storytelling skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
What you bring
- Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
- Preferred fields of study: Marketing Communication, Communication Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
- Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing software (e.g., Camtasia, iMovie, etc.)
- Fluent English skills, German is a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, coupled with an independent and proactive work style
- Strong writing skills and a flair for creative writing (e.g., marketing materials, blog posts, etc.)
- Interest in open source and a basic understanding of web technologies
- Prior experience in event management and social media is advantageous
