What you'll do

At SAP, we integrate AI technology with extensive industry-specific data and deep process knowledge to create innovative AI capabilities for all SAP applications. Join SAP's mission to revolutionize Business AI by developing Foundation Models that effectively leverage enterprise data, helping clients optimize business processes.

You will join the team responsible for developing SAP-RPT-1 and contribute to some of the following tasks:

• Data Preparation: Support the training and adaptation of Foundation Models by preparing and engineering high-quality enterprise datasets
• Evaluation & Analysis: Benchmark model performance and conduct detailed error analysis to drive iterative technical improvements
• Model Architecture: Assist in adapting state-of-the-art architectures to solve complex, structured data challenges
• Result presentation: Synthesize experimental results into clear reports and presentations for our global team in English
• Production Readiness: Refactor and package model code for production use, implement testing and validation pipelines, and support deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management in enterprise environments

What you bring

• Bachelor in Computer Science, AI or similar 
• Enrolled in a master’s course in Computer Science, AI or similar with 12+ months left until graduation
• Proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks such as Pytorch 
• Hands-on experience in developing deep learning model backed up by a very good theoretical knowledge about concepts in deep learning and foundation models 
• Prior experience in industry or a research lab, ideally involving AI for tabular data and real-world enterprise use cases
• Diligent and thorough working style. Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Coming to the office in Walldorf is required
•  Attendance once every other week 
• Optionally: experience with cloud development and/or S/4 HANA data
