What you'll do

For SAP’s central AI platform engineering team responsible for the AI Core product and the generative AI hub, we are searching for a working student (f/m/d) for each of the areas performance and architecture.
 

As a working student (f/m/d) in Performance, you will run performance tests and report on the test results, which currently includes manual steps. Your main goal is to promote automation, so that validation and reporting of test results is less error-prone, comparison of test results is easier, and validation and reporting is less time-consuming. Your role will be to participate in designing and implementing approaches to promote this automation.

Tasks in Performance include:

• Familiarizing and enhancing the performance test framework of AI Core, which is based on Locust (Python)
• Running and reporting on performance tests for AI Core
• Designing and implementing approaches to promote automation
• Testing and bug fixing your implementation, documenting your work
• Collaborating and sharing your results with the team

As a working student (f/m/d) in Architecture for the generative AI hub, you will be supporting in projects that help us to integrate generative AI in SAP applications. Our Team is currently adding additional capabilities to our generative AI hub which manages the lifecycle of generative AI for business applications, including for instance continuous monitoring of generative AI models, supporting the feedback cycle, finetuning, orchestration and grounding, or testing for generative AI. As part of this effort, you will be looking at new tools, libraries, frameworks, and services in the quickly evolving generative AI ecosystem and support us in the evaluation and prototypical integration of such components.

Tasks in Architecture include:

• Exploration and evaluation of open source or third-party AI services and tools
• Implementation and validation of proof of concepts that integrate such tools with generative AI

What you bring

• Student (f/m/d) at a university or university of applied sciences, in a relevant study program
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Experience with REST APIs
• Knowledge of statistical analysis
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English and interpersonal skills
• Experience with cloud-based systems using Kubernetes running on AWS, GCP or Azure, or containerization technologies using Docker is a plus

As part of our team, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the broader AI ecosystem while working with advanced technologies and tackling real-world problems at the intersection of AI, cloud, and DevOps.
