We are looking for a smart, quality conscious student (w/m/d) in the field of communications, technical writing, languages, or informatics. We offer you a working student contract as a part-time job assignment of at least six months in an inspirational learning and working environment. During this time, you will work with close mentorship by SAP development teams. For the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model we develop and deliver a demo reference scenario (ABAP Flight Reference Scenario) that provides state-of-the-art development examples for customers and internal stakeholders. You will work on our developer-oriented documentation, especially on its improvements of code and terminology consistence.  

You will:

  • Adapt the written documentation to the new features of the ABAP Flight Reference Scenario
  • Get involved in detail with our content management systems like IXIASOFT/DITA and adapt documentation to different formats
  • Create user assistance for our developer guide
  • Help that the user assistance (UA) deliverables such as the user and programming guides are of high quality, adhere to SAP’s standards and guidelines, and are written in appropriate style and tone for the software developers as target audience
  • Support defining terminology (for English and German) that is simple, consistent and conforms to industry standards and incorporate these terms in the documentation
  • Have the option to actively take part in the development of a demo reference scenario



  • Preferable student (w/m/d) of technical writing or studies related to languages/programming/communications
  • Interest in software engineering and programming
  • Strong skills and fluency in English and German, ideally first-language proficiency in English
  • The ability to express complex technical information in a clear and precise manner
  • Strong interest in copy editing technical texts written by English non-native speakers  
  • The ability to learn new skills at short notice and deliver on time in high quality  
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience of MS Office applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint 


Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
