We help the world run better

At SAP, we enable you to bring out your best. Our company culture is focused on collaboration and a shared passion to help the world run better. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from.

What you'll do

GenAI is already extensively used for creating new code and tests or supporting humans in these tasks. There is already some work about using GenAI to improve existing codebases.
We want to better understand the strength and weaknesses of using GenAI for improving existing codebases and documentation. We have several concrete use cases from small to medium to large with a first focus on Python, but also Go, Java, C/C++ and many other programming languages.
The student will use GenAI, techniques proposed from research work, or invent own approaches based on GenAI to improve existing codebases and documentation. SAP provides access to recent LLM models.
