We help the world run better

Our company culture is focused on helping our employees enable innovation by building breakthroughs together. How? We focus every day on building the foundation for tomorrow and creating a workplace that embraces differences, values flexibility, and is aligned to our purpose-driven and future-focused work. We offer a highly collaborative, caring team environment with a strong focus on learning and development, recognition for your individual contributions, and a variety of benefit options for you to choose from. Apply now!

What you'll do
SAP's new cloud data products (working title: "Data Suite") provide a suite of services for data management, processing, and analysis such as Data Catalog, Data Pipelines, Data Replication, Data Warehouse, and Data Analytics. The services are closely integrated and published on SAPs Business Technology Platform. We are looking for students that are excited about data processing, cloud technologies, and hands-on programming to dig into a variety of research and development topics to improve and strengthen our services and features.

As a student in the SAP Data Suite team, you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.
We offer a lot of different topics for students.

Examples include:

  • Publish service APIs with SAPs API Manager
  • Test and monitor the published APIs using properly designed clients and test automations
  • Analyze and document feature gaps and improvement requests with the development and product management teams

What you bring

  • Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science or related fields
  • Familiar with at least one of the programming languages: Python, Go, C++, Java, NodeJS
  • Cloud technologies: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Understanding of REST APIs and authentication schemes
  • Basic knowledge of performance analysis a plus
  • Language skills: fluent English or German
  • Soft skills: Ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team

Meet your team
We are an organisation of development architects who work closely with various development teams who work on the Data Suite. Typically, students are seeded into those development teams and participate in their daily routines like daily scrum meetings in which students participate as authentic members of the team (rather than "guests"). In that way, you meet many colleagues, gain from their experience and get a thorough insight into software development at SAP.

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
