Meet your team
We are responsible for harmonizing and optimizing SAP’s support & cloud operations processes and parts of security operations on a user-centric, innovative platform, focused on delivering a simple, stable, effective and desirable internal (for SAP employees) and external (for SAP customers) customer service management. Central to this effort is the 3rd Party SaaS platform ServiceNow and its applications IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM) and Security Operations Management (SecOps).
By creating this solution, we serve all SAP lines of business and cross teams.
What you’ll do
As an IT Principal Solution Architect – IT Operations Management on our team, you will drive architectural design to implementation of our IT Operations Management landscape used by thousands of users across the globe. You will closely collaborate with business owners, product managers, product owners and other experts in an agile environment.
In your daily business, you will make technical and architecture concepts, contribute to implementation, and operations of SAP’s Service Management application landscape.
Concretely, you will:

Lead solution architecture for IT Operations Management – Cloud Automation & Orchestration

Responsible for architectural design, development, and refactoring across multiple agile teams

As a Solution Architect, act as thought leader for other team members

Drive continuous improvements with focus on quality, stability, usability, maintainability

Applying DevOps mindset to take operational responsibility for the provided solutions

Establish a trusted partnership with our internal business and technical counterparts and act as “ONE TEAM” from delivery to operation

Become proficient with business processes implemented in the solution and look for opportunities to simplify
What you bring
-
Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology, Software engineering, business informatics or related fields
-
5+ years of professional working experience in architecture development or comparable
-
Experience in ServiceNow Platform as an architect
-
Subject matter expert in one or more business domain(s)

Experience in designing large-scale IT systems
-
Experience in application delivery processes, procedures & key metrics
-
Good knowledge of IT with particular focus on enterprise applications and application architecture

Knowledge of Agile (SAFe) implementation methods is a plus
-
Experience in architecture development methods like UML, BPMN documentation methodologies and requirements analysis and application architecture design based on it

Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, SAP EAF, Gartner, Zachman) and EA reference models is a plus

Knowledge about LeanIX, IDS Scheer tools, Signavio to model all application architecture artifacts

Leader and team player – give guidance and show excellent coordination skills, including conflict management

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills and be an interface to different stakeholders talking “different languages”

Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Quick learner, passionate, motivated and self-managed

Competent in English (spoken and written)
