The Role

RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition (PTO + PCE) is one of the key deployment options for our customers cloud transformation. It provides a comprehensive cloud infrastructure and managed service offerings to our customers as an essential part of the overall Cloud Strategy of SAP. This enables customers to safeguard their existing SAP ERP investment, while benefiting from a new level of flexibility – tailoring the software to meet their specific needs, retaining company-specific configurations and customizations of their SAP ERP system, and accessing the latest capabilities that give their company a competitive advantage.

The ATLAS program is a global transformative initiative within SAP, designed to automate and optimize the lifecycle of RISE with SAP from deal closure to cloud system deployment and customer success. The program focuses on automating key aspects of cloud operations, ensuring customers can continually transform with the support of SAP.

The Global Cloud Advisory Team is part of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services organization. We are looking for an energetic and customer-focused Project and Release Manager to join the ATLAS team. In this role, you will be the connection between the CAA Global Transformation team and the ATLAS program team as a whole. CAA community and end customers rely on your skills to get the maximum out of the ATLAS program.

What you´ll do

• You will take ownership of project management activities for the CAA team in the ATLAS program

• You will work with other program workstreams in order to integrate the CAA work into the wider ATLAS program

• You will advocate for the CAA requirements in the ATLAS program, balancing scope, priorities and deliverables

• Define and measure KPI’s for your application(s) to drive improvement plans

• On a daily basis, you will need to ensure your team is working against the project deadlines.

• You will use Gantt charts, milestones, deadlines, critical path, dependencies, risks and mitigation to help your team work efficiently

• You will collaborate with the Test Manager of your team, as well as the E2E Test Manager of the program, to orchestrate go live of new features

• Maintain Quality Control Processes to ensure deliverables meet agreed standards and satisfy requirements, helping to maintain project integrity

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in a project management role in cloud environments or SAP solutions.

• Solid communication skills with the ability to present technical content in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Basic understanding of SAP cloud solutions (preferably RISE with SAP, SAP S/4HANA Cloud).

• Affinity with ATLAS program at SAP is an advantage

• Affinity with BTP based application development is an advantage

• Project management related skills are a must, related certifications are a major advantage

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when it comes to achieving deadlines while doing risk mitigation

• Ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and work independently, while also collaborating in a cross-functional team environment.

• Fluency in English (additional languages are a bonus).

• Good understanding of SAP solutions (releases, platform interdependencies etc.)

• Good understanding of operational aspects (Application and Technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment. 

• Good understanding of the entire platform stacks (storage, virtualization, hardware, networks etc.)

• Good understanding of technical capabilities of at least one Hyperscale provider (AWS, MS Azure or GCP)

• Willingness to undertake short notice travel on short notice
