PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) is a highly optimized relational database management system for mission critical transactional processing and operational reporting. It delivered high performance at a low total cost of ownership and is designed to run on any standard hardware and operating system.

SAP Replication Server (SRS) moves and synchronizes data in real-time manner, allowing businesses to gain better use of application data and to create reports without affecting operational systems. SRS enables businesses to set up redundant disaster recovery sites and distribute, consolidate and synchronize data across multiple platforms and locations.

SAP ASE and SRS are widely used in banking, stock trading, insurance and other data-intensive financial businesses and has also been optimized and adopted for SAP Business Suite applications in recent years. Now SAP ASE and SRS are being renewed for continuing supporting on-premise businesses and extending footprint to cloud as well.

We are now looking for passionate software engineers to join us and be part of a wonderful development organization improving on-premise ASE and SRS quality, usability, performance, TCO, and reinventing ASE and SRS to support cloud platforms.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

· Responsible for designing, implementing, testing and delivering new and complex features with high quality according to agreed timescales for database and replication products.

· Responsible for digesting existing product architecture and implementation, refactoring code and fixing bugs.

· Responsible for re-architecting on-premise products and making them work on cloud platform eventually.

· Responsible for troubleshooting customer issues and providing root cause analysis and solutions timely.

· Research emerging database and replication related technology, and adopt cutting edge technology into products.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related majors.

· Passionate about developing on-premise software product or cloud service with high quality.

· Proficient at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Java.

· Experience of multi-threading programming and complex software system development is preferred.

· Database, design pattern and related knowledge are preferred.

· Great problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.

· Fluent English both spoken and written
