PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) is a part of the Office of the CEO Board area, and reports to both SAP SE’s Global CEO and the Audit Committee of the Supervisory Board. Our mission is to advance SAP’s business goals by promoting a culture of integrity, and by mitigating a defined set of legal risks. Our focus includes among others compliance with the FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), UK Bribery Act, and other global anti-corruption and bribery laws.

 

The Third -Party Compliance Team as part of the OEC is responsible for managing audits and compliance assessments of SAP’s business partners. SAP will execute audit clauses in the agreement with our partners and engage an independent audit firm to perform the audit field work. The Audit Team will work closely with the independent audit firms and the field compliance officers to ensure the audit is conducted as planned, the report is generated, and next steps are identified and executed.

 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

The Partner Audit Director (Americas) will be expected to support and execute the audit function and then take ownership of managing all partner audits in the Americas region.

 

His/her key responsibilities will be:

· Actively manage and execute the partner audit process in the Americas region.

· Actively builds working relationship and professional network with both internal and external stakeholderst.

· Is responsible for managing and overseeing partner compliance audits performed by independent audit firms in the Americas region: manage the nomination process of partners for audit, notifying internal stakeholders and the external partners of the audit, kick off the audit process, support risk based audit sampling, address any questions or concerns from the partner, constantly oversee the progress of the audit, and address delays and roadblocks during the audit.

· Serves as liaison between SAP, internal stakeholders from the business and the audit firms

· Liaising and working closely with the SAP field compliance team and other OEC teams as needed

· Actively initiates and supports identification of partner to be audited based on risk assessment

· Able to independently drive audits

· Resolves issues with high complexity and cross-border

 

As a result of audit findings and recommendations, he/she may work on company policies and procedural change and liaise with multiple areas to align compliance Policies.

The position reports to the Global Audit Director – Third-Party Audit in OEC and enjoys high exposure within the business.

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Bachelor’s degree from business or law school or equivalent work experience

· Big 4 audit firm experience is preferable

· Hands-on with attention to detail and written documentation

· Willingness to proactively communicate with stakeholders

· Ability to do in-depth research and to interpret written guidelines and documents

· Fluent business English

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

· 6+ years in a relevant function in the internal control system environment, Legal, Finance, Audit, Compliance or Procurement Organization
