EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
The Pricing Commercial Business Partner (Senior Finance Specialist) is a member of the North America Global Commercial Finance team, reporting to the respective Commercial Finance Manager for Canada Market Unit, and will be expected to fulfill the following duties:
· Serve as a valued business partner to the sales teams in supporting customer requests and advising the Account Executives regarding pricing and commercial standards
· Guide internal customers on DoA and approval processes; check completeness and accuracy of and approve respective quotations; Ensure that deals within their respective scope are approved in proper manner and timelines according to internal deal approval processes and procedures
· Handle Contract Drafting responsibilities for both On-Premise and Cloud deals
· Act as a primary point of contact representing the overall commercial finance team to the business
· Provide guidance on holistic deal structuring across all LoBs
· Mitigate any over-complicated processes with simple and efficient solutions (and recommend/drive process improvement moving forward)
· Possess a deep understanding of the strategic positioning of SAP’s commercial structures, as well as business and financial risks they can present
· Build long-term business relationships with sales teams and support business to focus beyond maximizing short-term revenue achievement
· Develop independent opinions and take the necessary steps to validate and communicate these opinions
ABOUT THE TEAM
The North America GCF organization partners closely with sales to ensure that transactions are structured in the most commercially beneficial way for SAP, while abiding by SAP’s internal policies and IFRS Accounting rules.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· 5 years professional experience, including finance experience (commercial finance, revenue accounting, pricing, billing, etc.)
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, Accounting/Finance/IT Law/ Computer Science or related business background
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Self-motivated
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Flexible/Agile
· Ability to network in the different disciplines and departments and to other organizational units
· Strong team player, proactive and service oriented
· Excellent written and interpersonal, and communication skills
· Ability to work under time pressure and deadlines, while managing multiple tasks and projects.
