What you'll do

As an Associate Product Manager, you will translate market requirements and customer feedback from various channels into product requirements and features. You will work closely with your team members from Finance Product Management and with your counterparts from Product Engineering on a prioritized backlog and contribute to the design of an executable product vision and strategy that manifests in a sound product roadmap.

You will join the Record-to-Report team in Public Cloud ERP Finance Product Management. You will be part of a global team of experienced and motivated product managers who are responsible for defining and shaping the next generation of business processes for the Public Cloud ERP Finance solutions. In this position, you will be a key contact for customers and will contribute to strategic projects and accounting areas.

Specific work areas will include:

• Analyzing emerging regulatory requirements in the area of ESG disclosures, e.g. the European ESRSs, ISSB standards, with a particular focus on GHG emissions.
• Handling complex accounting areas like the accounting for environmental credit programs (European ETS and other carbon markets); accounting for the forthcoming CBAM regulation.
• Connectivity of financial and sustainability-related financial information, e.g. accounting for carbon quantaties in the context of IFRS financial statements. 
• Analyzing the accounting consequences of other emerging and updated accounting standards like the IASB's recently released IFRS 18 standard and the requirements around expense disaggregation in the income statement. 

What you bring

• University Degree in Business Administration, Business Engineering or similar with optional Bachelor or Master degree.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the area of ESG disclosures, e.g. the European ESRSs, ISSB standards, with a particular focus on GHG emissions.
• Understanding of SAP’s cloud processes and products with a focus on SAP Financials is an advantage. 
• Strong customer focus, business acumen and business process knowledge.
• Flexibility and ability to quickly adapt in a new environment, where you can grow fast.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Teamplayer with a can-do attitude and a strong focus on outcomes. 
• Fluency in English is a must, German is an advantage.
