What you’ll do

• Build full-stack products, from pixel-perfect UIs to highly available backend systems. 
• Take end-to-end ownership of features from design and development through to deployment.
• Responsibility to ensure high-quality results. Create and execute test cases, reviews of specifications, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Working as part of a highly motivated Agile team towards achieving common goals.
• You own your code from ideation to development, through QA and support.

What you’ll bring

• University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience in Cloud software development.
• Successful track record in agile cloud software development and an affinity for open-source software.
• Professional programming experience in Java; programming experience in one or more of the following languages is beneficial: Scala, Python, JavaScript, Typescript or Go.
• Skills in at least one backend framework such as Spring Boot (preferred) or NodeJS.
• Proven experience with web-based API practices like REST, OpenAPI Specification, GraphQL, OData, JSON.
• Fluent English language skills written and verbal, German language skills are beneficial.

Beneficial

• Experience in operating a cloud service as well as cloud delivery tools and processes.
• CNCF technology knowledge like Kubernetes, Docker, HELM.
• Solid frontend development skills with JavaScript (ES6), HTML5, and SAP UI5, React, or Angular.

We are a fast-moving unit working closely with our stakeholders within and outside SAP to scale the development and adoption of reuse business services.
