What you'll do

 

The Labor Safety Technician Associate - Técnico de Segurança do Trabalho will be responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental standards according to current Brazilian legislation. The professional will need to implement and monitor safety programs, conduct training and inspections, and prepare technical reports aimed at accident prevention and promoting a safe and healthy work environment.

 

  • Implementation and Monitoring of Safety Policies: Develop, implement, and monitor occupational safety and health policies and procedures in accordance with Brazilian legislation and company requirements.
  • Training and Education: Plan and conduct safety training sessions for employees, covering topics such as accident prevention, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment. Promote educational campaigns on health and safety in the workplace. 
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Perform internal and external audits, document non-compliances, and follow up on corrective actions. 
  • Accident Investigation: Investigate work-related accidents, incidents, and occupational illnesses, identify their causes, and propose preventive measures. 
  • Prepare technical reports on accidents based on Regulatory Standards (NRs) and guidelines from Social Security. 
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, training, accidents, and corrective actions. 
  • Interaction with Regulatory Agencies: Maintain active communication with regulatory and inspection agencies, such as the Ministry of Labor and Employment, unions, and professional associations. 
  • Participate in Internal Accident Prevention Commission (CIPA - Comissão Interna de Prevenção de Acidentes) meetings and support their activities.
     

What you bring

 

  • Complete Technical Education in Occupational Safety (Registro Profissional de Técnico de Segurança do Trabalho), with active registration with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (Ministério do Trabalho). 
  • Experience with eSocial and SOC systems (Software de Saúde e Seguranca do Trabalho)
  • Updated knowledge of current Regulatory Standards (NRs).
  • Communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • First aid training is a plus. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese (spoken, and written), other languages are welcome.

In alignment with the SAP Global Health & Safety Policy and under the supervision of the Labor Safety Engineer, the employee is accountable for the successful delivery of cost-effective Health Services in his/her office, promotion of health campaigns, maintenance of remote services, and local emergency management.
